Editors: Oliver Tabino, Cathleen M. Stützer, and Alexandra Wachenfeld-Schell

Data visualization is becoming increasingly important in the digitalized society. Therefore, it is important to understand how data work and what impact data visualizations have on the perception as well as implementation of research results. The compendium aims to be an essential reference point for researchers and practitioners in the field of information visualization. It will be organized by different topics in information and data visualization.

We welcome contributions describing original work on the topics of

  • INFORMATION VISUALIZATION
  • GENERAL VISUALIZATION TECHNIQUES
  • SCIENTIFIC DATA VISUALIZATION, and
  • ETHICAL ASPECTS OF DATA VISUALIZATION.

Papers describing techniques, systems, tools, and  advanced prototypes, as well as general reviews pointing to future directions, are also welcome. We invite theoretical, empirical and/or applied contributions. The acceptance of contributions will be based on quality, originality, and relevance to the compendium topic.

The volume will be edited as an open access publication including DOI and ISBN by the German Society of Online Research (DGOF) after a peer review process. Deadline of paper submissions (max. length 10 A4 pages) is 31st July, 2022  via Email at office@dgof.de
