Call: CompleNet 2023

Thursday, December 8, 2022 to Thursday, December 15, 2022

Event Details

Call for contributions
You are cordially invited to submit a paper or extended abstract to CompleNet 2023, the 14th Annual Conference on Complex Networks, to take place in person, on April 25-28, 2023.
CompleNet is an international conference on complex networks that brings together researchers and practitioners from diverse disciplines—from sociology, biology, physics, and computer science—who share a passion to better understand the interdependencies within and across systems. CompleNet Live is a venue to discuss ideas and findings about all types of networks, from biological, to technological, to informational and social. It is this interdisciplinary nature of complex networks that CompleNet Live aims to explore and celebrate.
We encourage you to submit a paper or extended abstract to the 14th CompleNet conference. All accepted contributions will be invited to be presented at the online conference. Presentations will take place in a plenary session, offering heightened exposure and integration across topics and expertise.
How?
Please log in to Easychair using the link: https://easychair.org/my/conference?conf=complenet2023

Types of Contribution
CompleNet Live accepts new contributions in the form of long and short papers (not previously published) and extended abstracts (about published or unpublished research). Each submission will undergo blind review by at least two referees on the Scientific Committee. Papers (short or long) will be peer reviewed and, if accepted, included in the Proceedings of the conference edited by Springer Verlag. Abstracts will not be included in the proceedings or published anywhere.
All accepted contributions will be invited to be presented at the online conference.
After the conference, selected works might have the opportunity to submit their papers to many special issues on the Applied Network Science Journal (Springer), Complexity Journal (Hindawi). Negotiations are under way.
Submission format
Papers
Submitted papers should follow the Springer format (here) and not exceed 12 pages if submitted as regular papers, or 8 pages if submitted as short papers. Page limits include all references, figures, tables, captions, and other display items. Due to space constraints, some works submitted as long papers may ultimately be accepted as short papers. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings in Springer’s Complexity series. Authors can use either the LateX or Word template to generate a PDF for the submission. After acceptance, however, authors of will be asked for LaTeX source (not Word) for inclusion in the proceedings.
Extended abstracts
Extended abstracts should be a minimum of one page and maximum of two pages in length (standard US Letter or DIN-A4, 1-inch margins, 10-point font, single-spaced), and should be submitted in PDF format. Each abstract should include exactly one figure, with caption. Please note that this figure, as well as any references, are included within the two-page limit.
Submissions that do not satisfy the above requirements will not be considered.
Best contributions
CompleNet offers prizes to best posters, best papers, best presentation, and many others. Prizes are generally in the form of giftcards from Amazon, Apple and others. We believe that authors who go above and beyond should receive a token of recognition for their efforts. In previous years we have provided prizes even to reviewers and attendees who contributed to the event.
