for Special Section on Distributed Intelligence over Internet of Things

THEME

Nowadays, billions of devices are connected to the Internet, enabling Internet of Things (IoT) systems widely deployed, such as smart city, smart healthcare and intelligent plant, to capture a great quantity of sensing data. Consequently, the data transmission, processing and analysis in IoT applications bring a great pressure to the central server. Fortunately, distributed intelligence becomes one of the potential solutions. Accordingly, many new research opportunities and challenges for distributed intelligence over Internet of things have arisen.

This special section aims at addressing significant issues in the field of distributed intelligence enabled IoT, mobile edge computing for IoT and privacy protection.

This special section will focus on (but not limited to) the following topics:

- Distributed intelligence enabled IoT systems

- Technologies, protocols, or platforms for AI enabled IoT systems

- Mobile edge computing for IoT systems

- AI enabled intelligent service for IoT systems

- Privacy protection for AI enabled IoT systems

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

Follow the guidelines in "Information for Authors" in the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics http://www.ieee-ies.org/pubs/transactions-on-industrial-informatics . Please submit your manuscript in electronic form through Manuscript Central web site: https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/tii . On the submitting page #1 in popup menu of manuscript type, select: SS on Distributed Intelligence Over Internet of Things.

Submissions to this Special Section must represent original material that has been neither submitted to, nor published in, any other journal. Regular manuscript length is 8 pages.

Note: The recommended papers for the section are subject to final approval by the Editor-in-Chief. Some papers may be published outside the special section, at the EIC discretion.

Deadline for manuscript submissions: September 30, 2021

Expected publication date (tentative): May 2022
