Longitudinal Network Analysis with SAOMs using RSiena - Beginner Level
Robert Krause
In this workshop we will learn about the theoretical foundations of and how to practical apply the Stochastic Actor-Oriented Model for longitudinal network analysis. The SAOM is designed to analyze network panel data observed at multiple (at least two) discrete time points. The model is also applicable for multiplex data (at least two different types of relations or changing attributes and networks). We will analyze SAOMs using the RSiena package implemented in the statistical software R. The first part of the workshop will focus on network evolution, the second part on co-evolution of networks and attributes. Basic familiarity in R is helpful (see for instance https://r4ds.had.co.nz/ for a free workshop).
